The Nether Stowey and the surrounding area communities are thriving and at the centre of that is the Nether Stowey Village Hall and Recreation Ground.
The area boasts many clubs and other organisations that are availing themselves of these local amenities.
With its football pitches, Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), playground and open space, the recreation ground is enjoyed by a wide variety of children and adults, from those who want to enjoy a peaceful walk to those who are more active.
With its indoor space, the village hall provides a range of facilities for holding everything from the local cinema, craft fairs, public meetings and private parties to wedding receptions.
Nether Stowey Village Hall and Recreation Ground CIO run and manage the services and facilities of these two vital parts of the community. They are an active, forward-thinking organisation and have upgraded many of the facilities at the recreation ground and have plans in place to develop the village hall with more space and modern facilities, to better serve the local community into the future.
The village hall and playing fields, also known as the recreation ground, are precious community facilities at the heart of Nether Stowey and are looked after by a charity run entirely by volunteers, which include trustees, committees and members.
Enjoy your Recreation Ground
You are welcome to come and walk around the recreation grounds or perhaps sit and enjoy watching the various activities happening on the recreation ground. You could meet up with friends, have a picnic, or even participate in one of our events like the Party in the Park we run each year.
